The 15-Minute Content Operating Checklist

Use this before opening an AI workspace, a blank document, or a scheduling tool. It is designed to make the next content session more deliberate—not to replace subject-matter expertise, editorial judgment, or fact-checking.

   Define the job

   • Write the one idea this piece needs to communicate.
   • Name the specific audience and the reader’s current question or decision.
   • Choose one realistic next step for the reader.

   Load the source material

   • Collect the strongest source: an observation, question, research note, lesson, or existing draft.
   • Separate confirmed facts from assumptions, opinions, and examples.
   • Add the constraints that matter: offer, channel, voice, length, and deadline.

   Choose the angle

   • Turn the source into one clear point of view.
   • Pick the format that matches the idea and its destination.
   • Decide what to leave out so the piece has one job.

   Build the first pass

   • Give the draft a working structure: opening, explanation, evidence, and next step.
   • Use AI, if helpful, from your supplied context—not as a substitute for it.
   • Check that every claim is accurate and appropriately qualified.

   Adapt before publishing

   • Adjust the hook, pacing, and length for the destination channel.
   • Keep the central message intact when making variations.
   • Remove generic filler, unsupported claims, and unhelpful jargon.

   Run a final operator review

   • Can a qualified reader explain the point after one read?
   • Are facts, examples, names, and links checked?
   • Is the asset ready to publish, save for later, or turn into the next format?
